About IBP

The Institute of Biological Psychiatry at the Psychiatric Hospital of Sct. Hans in Roskilde is the epicenter of international biomedical psychiatric research for the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark.

Furthermore, we are one of six partners in the worlds largest psychiatric research project – the iPSYCH Initiative – and we are affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Copenhagen.

We work in close collaboration with some of the top research groups in the world within our field, and we regularly publish results in major scientific journals.

Using our expertise and unique datasets from the Danish population, we strive to describe and discover biological mechanisms leading to psychiatric disorders.
